Kiiroo Keon Care Guide: Cleaning, Charging, and Storage
By Jake Turner · Senior Editor · May 2025

The Kiiroo Keon is a motorized stroker with Bluetooth connectivity, a removable Feel Stroker sleeve, and rechargeable battery. Each of these components has specific care requirements. The sleeve is porous TPE and needs thorough post-use cleaning. The motorized housing is water-resistant but not waterproof. The battery is lithium-ion and benefits from proper charge maintenance. This guide covers all three in detail.
Note: The Kiiroo Keon housing is water-resistant, not waterproof. Do not submerge in water or rinse under running water. Clean the sleeve separately from the motor unit.

Cleaning the Feel Stroker Sleeve
Remove the Feel Stroker sleeve from the Keon housing after every use. The sleeve is made from TPE — a porous material that holds bacteria in its structure if not cleaned promptly and thoroughly. Delayed cleaning after use is the primary reason Keon sleeves degrade prematurely.
Cleaning protocol: turn the sleeve inside out, rinse under warm (not hot) running water while gently working the material with your fingers. Apply a small amount of dedicated toy cleaner or mild soap, work it through the material, then rinse completely until no soap residue remains. Soap residue left in TPE causes material degradation and odor over time.
Do not use silicone-based cleaners, oil-based cleaners, or alcohol on the sleeve. These degrade TPE. Kiiroo’s own toy cleaner or any pH-neutral, alcohol-free toy cleaner is appropriate.
Cleaning the Motor Housing
The Keon motor housing is water-resistant (IPX4 rated — splash-resistant from any direction). Do not submerge or rinse under running water. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap, then wipe dry. For the interior canal where the sleeve sits, use a slightly damp cloth or toy-cleaner-dampened wipe to clean any residue that may have migrated past the sleeve seal.
Pay attention to the charge port area — keep it dry and free from cleaning product. If moisture enters the charge port, allow the device to dry fully (at least 2 hours) before charging.
Drying Protocol
The sleeve must be completely dry before storage. Turn it inside out and allow to air dry on a clean surface — a clean towel, drying rack, or sleeve drying stand. Do not use heat (hair dryer, radiator) to speed drying — heat degrades TPE. Full air drying typically takes 1–3 hours depending on ambient humidity.
The housing can be wiped dry with a clean cloth. Ensure the charge port is fully dry before charging or storing.
Charging the Keon Battery
The Keon uses a USB-C charging cable (included). Charge time is approximately 2 hours from depleted to full. Battery life is approximately 1 hour of continuous use at moderate intensity.
Best practice: charge after every use rather than running to depletion. Lithium-ion batteries last longer when kept between 20–80% charge rather than cycled fully. If storing the Keon for more than a month, charge to approximately 50–60% before storage. A fully depleted lithium-ion battery stored long-term can sustain permanent capacity loss.
Do not charge while the sleeve is installed — charging generates mild heat that should not be contained against the sleeve material.
Bluetooth and App Maintenance
The Keon connects to the FeelConnect 3.0 app and is compatible with Kiiroo’s interactive content platform. Keep the firmware updated via the app — Kiiroo releases periodic updates that address connectivity and motor performance. Updates are applied through the app while the device is charging.
If Bluetooth connectivity becomes unreliable, reset the pairing by holding the power button for 10 seconds (consult current Kiiroo documentation for your firmware version). Re-pair in the app after reset.
Storage Recommendations
Store the Keon with the sleeve removed. The sleeve and housing should be stored separately if the sleeve has any moisture remaining. Both should be clean and dry before storage. Store in a cool, dry location — avoid direct sunlight and heat sources, which accelerate TPE degradation.
Keep the USB-C charging cable with the device. The Home in Bold storage box at 18.5 inches accommodates the Keon’s 10-inch length comfortably alongside the sleeve and cable. The code lock keeps the collection private.
When to Replace the Sleeve
TPE sleeves have a finite lifespan. Replace the Feel Stroker sleeve when you notice: persistent odor after thorough cleaning, surface stickiness that wasn’t present when new, visible tears or surface degradation, or discoloration that doesn’t clean off. Average sleeve lifespan with consistent proper care is 6–18 months depending on frequency of use. Kiiroo sells replacement sleeves directly and through authorized retailers.
Extending Keon Lifespan
The motor unit can last significantly longer than the sleeve with proper care. Key longevity factors: never run the motor dry (always use water-based lubricant with the sleeve installed), clean promptly after every use, charge properly (avoid full depletion cycles), and store in a stable temperature environment. The motor’s brushless design is durable; most Keon failures come from moisture damage to the housing or battery mismanagement, both of which are preventable.
| Component | Cleaning Method | Drying Time | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Feel Stroker sleeve | Warm water + toy cleaner, inside out | 1–3 hours air dry | Separate from housing |
| Motor housing | Damp cloth, no submersion | Wipe dry immediately | Cool, dry location |
| USB-C cable | Wipe with dry cloth | N/A | Coiled with device |
| Charge port | Keep dry, no cleaning product | 2 hrs if moisture enters | Cap if available |
Store Your Keon in a Locked Box
The Keon’s 10-inch length fits comfortably in the Home in Bold storage box alongside the sleeve and charging cable. Everything stays organized, clean, and private.
